Waterbury Man Accused of Stealing $1K from Naugatuck Resident

Police say the man burglarized the Naugatuck resident's home in October.

Naugatuck police say on Dec. 23 at 3 p.m. Donald Poirier, 29, of Chipman Street in Waterbury turned himself in on an arrest warrant.

Police said Poirier is accused of burglarizing a Naugatuck home on October 16. He allegedly entered the victim’s house, who was known to him, and stole $1,000, police said.

Poirier was released on a $10,000 bond. He was charged with third-degree burglary and fifth-degree larceny.
