New Canaan Hub Dissolves

The non-profit dissolved and the building will be left to the town.

NEW CANAAN, CT- The Hub non-profit has decided to dissolve and the building that previously housed the Outback Teen Center will become town property.

The board of directors unanimously decided to dissolve, according to the New Canaan Advertiser.

The non-profit requested $50,000 from the town annually to help support its operations and then reduced the request to $50,000 over three years. Organizers said they got inadequate support from the Town Council to guarantee financial support.

It is estimated by the non-profit that it will cost the town $20,000 annually for the minimal level of upkeep.
