New Canaan's Allison Williams Named to CT Magazine's '40 Under 40'
Raised in New Canaan, the actress on HBO's "Girls" series made the list of Connecticut's "best and brightest among Generation Next ."
Allison Williams, an actress on HBO’s “Girls” series and the star of last December’s NBC musical “Peter Pan, Live!” has been named by Connecticut magazine as one of the state’s 40 “best and brightest among Generation Next.”
According to the article, she was named to the “40 Under 40” list largely because she saw “her profile soar to new heights when she sang and flew—live—as Peter Pan in NBC’s holiday TV musical [...].”
Williams, daughter of NBC News Anchor Brian Williams and TV Producer Jane Gillan Stoddard, was a member of the “Just Add Water” improv comedy troupe at Yale and later posted a YouTube video that went viral. She describes herself on Instagram as an “aspiring dog owner; TV addict; semicolon enthusiast.”
