Police: New Canaan Girl, 15, Threatens Another, 14, Online, Gets Charged
Both girls attend New Canaan High School.
A 14-year-old girl saw a Christmas Day Instagram post that seemed to threaten her, and after she confirmed with the person who posted it, a 15-year-old girl, also from New Canaan, that it was directed at her, she went to police the next day with her father, according to reports based on a police account.
According to The New Canaanite, the post threatened torture and humiliation of the girl’s lifeless body.
The older girl turned herself in to police on Dec. 26, was charged with second-degree threatening and is to appear Jan. 6 in state Juvenile Court in Stamford, according to the New Canaan Advertiser.
