SCSU Student Found Dead, ID Released: UPDATE

NEW HAVEN, CT — A Southern Connecticut State University student was found dead in a campus apartment over the weekend. There were no signs of foul play, university police told the New Haven Register. Southern police are investigating the incident.

The student was a junior sports management major from New Jersey and was working as a summer associate in residence life. Fox 61 identified the student as Ray Lucas, of New Jersey.

“Ray was a vibrant and well-liked member of the campus community,” SCSU President Joe Bertolino told Fox 61. “Our deepest sympathies are extended to his family and friends on this untimely loss.”
