Kayla Carta of Newington was one of 160 students presented their undergraduate research at Keene State College's 16th Annual Academic Excellence Conference on April 9. This student professional conference is designed to showcase the academic work of Keene State students and the collaborative work between students and faculty. It allows students to share excellent work with a broad audience, and prepares them for submitting proposals to professional conferences.

Abdow Award

Springfield College student Joseph Capossela of Newington recently received a 2016 Abdow Award for his academic success within the Springfield College Business Management Department.

The Abdow Awards are named after Ronald J. Abdow, co-founder of the Springfield-based Abdow's Big Boy restaurant chain, and they recognize Springfield College seniors for their academic success in the area of Business Management.
