Flames Extinguished At New London Car Dealership: Report

NEW LONDON, CT — Fire officials said flames spotted at a New London car dealership were quickly extinguished by firefighters Tuesday afternoon, the New London Day reported. The fire broke out within a transformer at Girard Toyota around 1 p.m., officials said.

According to the Day, officials said firefighters were ultimately able to contain the flames to the transformer, which is attached to the dealership’s Car Service Collision building.

Officials said no one was injured as a result of the fire, the cause of which remains under investigation, according to the Day.
