NYFS Survey Aims to Better Serve Children with Autism

A message from Newtown Youth and Family Services (NYFS):

We are developing a new curriculum for individuals/families that are looking for social recreational and educational programming for children with autism spectrum disorders. We are working closely with the Autism Resources and Services of CT and just hired a full time recreational therapist that will lead these programs.

We are requesting that Newtown families complete the attached survey, which is about current services available, suggestions for other services and what roadblocks they are experiencing.

NYFS is a licensed, non-profit, mental health clinic and youth service bureau. We are the designated mental health agency for the Town of Newtown/Sandy Hook. We provide outpatient individual, couple and family counseling and substance abuse treatment services. In addition we offer prevention initiatives, after school, evening and weekend programs and support groups to promote individual and community wellness.

We hope that you please take the time to fill out the survey for NYFS to continue to fulfill the needs of our community. Thank you for your support.
