North Branford Patch: What do you enjoy most doing business in North Branford?

Nicholas Cimino: Doing business with all the nice people who are our customers. We have generations of family coming here.

North Branford Patch: What makes your business unique?

Cimino: It’s a family owned and run business. My two daughters, son and one of my nieces work here with me. Our customers are like family.

North Branford Patch: What brought you into this business?

Cimino: My sister started the business years ago but decided to sell it after two years. My father asked me if I wanted to work with him so we bought it and I’ve been here ever since. It’s been 38 ½ years!

North Branford Patch: What do you enjoy doing outside of work?

Cimino: I like to play poker at the casino. Foxwoods is my favorite.

North Branford Patch: What is the most rewarding part of your job?

Cimino: Our customers. We have lots of regulars and know everyone’s name. North Branford Mayor Anthony Candelora and his brother, State Representative Vinnie Candelora, come here with their families for breakfast every Sunday.

North Branford Patch: What do you want your customers to know about your business?

Cimino: Our prices are very reasonable and I get all my bread and baked goods from my brother Al Cimino, who owns Apicella Bakery in New Haven.
