The MS Action Day Event was held on March 4, 2014 at the Connecticut State Capitol.  Cheryl Rogers-Horner from North Branford and Janet Rathbun from Northford were able to meet with State Senator Edward Meyers.

The topics discussed with Senator Meyers were adding 50 additional slots to expand the Connecticut Home Care Program for Adults with Disabilities, increasing funding for the program Operation Fuel Inc., access to prescription drug medications which would avoid health plans to control costs by instituting tactics by step therapy, increasing enrollee cost-sharing and creating specialty tiers and increasing housing for the disable population which is cost effective instead of an individual being institutionalized in a nursing home.

Senator Meyers will bring our concerns to the appropriate committees at the Connecticut State Capitol.
