Transformer Fire Knocks Out Power in North Haven (UPDATED)
Hundreds of residents are without power.

UPDATE, 11:50 a.m.
Sackett Point Road is now open for traffic in both directions, according to police.
UI reports 565 residents are without power and it is expected to be restored by 2:15 p.m.

The North Haven Fire Department is working on a transformer fire on Sackett Point Road near Overbrook Road, according to police.
Police have diverted all eastbound traffic on Sackett Point Road down Elm Street.
Police are asking residents, if possible, to avoid the area to allow for the fire department and the United Illuminating Company to restore power safely.
United Illuminating reports 1,357 residents are without power as of 11:25 a.m.
