Apartment Fire Displaces Several Tenants In Norwalk: Report
Fire officials said a number of apartments were damaged and several tenants were displaced after a fire at a Norwalk complex.

NORWALK, CT — Fire officials said a number of apartments were damaged and several tenants were displaced after a fire at a Monterey Place apartment complex, the Norwalk Hour reported. The incident occurred Wednesday morning sometime before 7:30 a.m., officials said.
Officials said the fire spread through three floors of the complex, according to the Norwalk Hour. No injuries were reported, however the residents that were displaced were moved to a bus due to the cold weather, officials said.
Fire officials said the response was complicated by the frigid conditions, which resulted in issues such as a frozen fire hydrant, the Norwalk Hour reported. Officials said some responding trucks ran out of water, while another engine meant to be at the scene got in a fender bender on East Avenue and was taken out of service.
