Jerry Sandusky's Son Arrested On Child Sex Charges

The son of Jerry Sandusky has been arrested and charged after trying to solicit nude photographs from a child, police said.

Jeffrey Sandusky, the son of convicted child molester and former Penn State football coach Jerry Sandusky, was arrested on Monday afternoon for soliciting nude photographs from two children, according to court documents.

Sandusky, 41, is the adopted son of Jerry Sandusky, who is currently serving a prison term of 30 to 60 years for 52 counts of sexual abuse of young boys.

The younger Sandusky was arrested in the Bellefonte, Centre County home of a woman he was dating, according to a criminal complaint. He allegedly sent the text messages to two children of the woman whom he was dating. He had lived there for five years, police said.

When the first victim refused to send him pictures, Sandusky allegedly asked him to delete the conversation, the documents state. The victim answered: "No we don't need to talk and we aren't going to," according to police.

Sandusky had previously asked another victim, a 16-year-old girl, to perform oral sex on him in 2013, according to authorities.

Bail was set at $200,000, which he did not meet, according to documents. He was taken to the Centre County Correctional Facility.

Jerry Sandusky's arrest and eventual conviction in 2012 brought national attention to Penn State and various penalties upon the university, some of which they are still paying.

Another of Sandusky's adopted sons, Matthew, told Oprah in 2014 that he had been sexually abused by his father for years. When asked about Jeffrey on Monday, Matthew told NBC that "(Jeffrey) should not see the outside of a prison cell for the rest of his life if these allegations are true."

Jeffrey has also reportedly been suspended from his job at Rockview State Correctional Facility.

He faces felony charges of statutory sexual assault, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, photographing sexual acts, and unlawful contact with a minor. He has been prohibited from contact with any minors. A preliminary hearing has been set for Feb. 22.
