Orange-Based Hospice Home Fined by State

The facility was cited for multiple violations.

ORANGE, CT - Compassus – Greater Connecticut, a hospice facility in Orange, recently was fined $2,500 by the state Department of Public Health for multiple violations, reports Connecticut Health I-Team.

Additionally, the facility was ordered to hire an independent nursing consultant for at least six months to help it with pain management.

Compassus was cited for multiple violations, including not creating an adequate plan for pain management, not properly informing patients of costs and not providing timely care, among other problems, writes I-Team's Cara Rosner.
