Witnesses Follows Driver After Failing to Stop for School Bus in Orange: Police

Orange police cited the driver for failing to stop for the school bus when children were getting off of the bus.

ORANGE, CT — When a witness saw someone failing to stop for a school bus that was letting children off of the bus they followed the offending car and pointed it out to Orange police officers, police said.

Officers responded to a private residence on Wagon Trail on Sept. 16 in regard to a motor vehicle violation, police said.

Officers learned that the cited party, a 51-year-old local resident, had been observed passing a stopped school bus that was lit and offloading children, police said.

A witness followed the offending vehicle a short distance and pointed it out to officers, police said.

The offending driver was issued an infraction ticket for his actions.
