Oxford Resident Receives $1,000 Scholarship From Bic Corp.
This year, BIC awarded a total of $130,000 in scholarships to 84 students.

Richard Katrenya Jr., of Oxford, is the recipient of a $1,000 scholarship from BIC Corporation. The scholarships are awarded annually to children of BIC employees and are based on the students’ scholastic achievements, community service and essay response.
Katrenya is studying Management Information Systems at Central Connecticut State University and is the son of Margaret Katrenya.
BIC Corporation’s scholarship program is currently in its 45th year and continues to support future leaders and to help employees’ children defray the cost of college and graduate school. This year, BIC awarded a total of $130,000 in scholarships to 84 students. Since the program’s inception, BIC has awarded more than $2.4 million in merit scholarships.
