Police Report: Girlfriend Squeals on Thief Boyfriend in Oxford

A Meriden man learned a lesson the hard way about fighting with his girlfriend, according to a police report on file at the Oxford Resident Trooper's Office.

Samuel D. Lester, 37, of 186 Kensington Ave., was arrested for stealing a motorcycle after police went to an Oxford home where he had been with his girlfriend; police were responding to a report of a domestic disturbance, the report states.

While in the house at 426 Oxford Road, across from the Oxford Resident Trooper’s Office, the girlfriend told police about a stolen motorcycle that Lester had stored in the basement, police said.

Police found that the 2008 Suzuki GSX 600 was reported stolen out of New Haven, police said.

Lester was charged with third-degree larceny by possession, disorderly conduct and second-degree threatening. He was released on separate bonds of $5,000 and $25,000. His next court date is Sept. 8 at Derby Superior Court. Lester has not yet entered a plea.
