A motorcyclist was sent to the hospital after he drove into the back of a vehicle on Rte. 7 this past Saturday in Ridgefield.

Ridgefield Police said a car had stopped in the southbound lane of Rte. 7 in order to turn left into the Ridgefield BMW Dealership when a motorcycle, also traveling southbound, crashed into the stopped vehicle at 12:00 p.m.

Police said that the motorcyclist, identified as Anthony Grevi, 45, of Mill Plain Road, Danbury, was transported to Danbury Hospital for “significant injuries” after the crash. Grevi was issued a warning for following too close.

The motorcycle and the other vehicle were towed due to “extensive damage”, reports state.
