The town of Ridgefield begins its budget review this week, and the process continues through May 14.

Ridgefield will begin its budget reviews with meetings Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday on the town budget.

First Selectman Rudy Marconi said he will finish his review in early March, and give his recommended budget to the Board of Finance in the first week of March. That budget will include a capital portion and an operating portion.

The selectmen will also make a non-binding recommendation to the finance board on the Board of Education's budget proposal that same week.

Marconi said the Board of Finance will host a public hearing on the proposed budget at the end of March. Ridgefield voters will vote on the budget in a referendum now scheduled for May 14.
