A young Shelton resident is fighting for his life and needs your help to cover medical expenses. “Ivan the Bull,” a boxer, was aptly named for his fighting spirit.
He was diagnosed with Chronic Myeloid Leukemia when he was 16-years-old, and and had a promising future in boxing. Since his diagnosis four years ago, Ivan has been fighting the hardest battle of his life. He is currently at Yale New Haven Children’s Hospital and is being treated for the ”blast phase” of his Chronic Myeloid Leukemia.
His friends have set up a Go Fund Me page to help cover the cost of the treatments. On the page they said:

“All the treatments, and there have been a lot of treatments, have not had the promising effect that everyone has been praying and hoping for. Treatment after treatment Ivan has shown his strength to all of us by keeping his big smile on his face and by showing us what true courage is. Fighting this fight has not been easy it creates a lot of conflict and emotional stress but Ivan has handled everything with a lot of grace.“
To date friends have raised $2,740 of their $30,000 goal. Click here to donate.
