Body Found on Talcott Mountain in Simsbury

SIMSBURY, CT — A body was found at Talcott Mountain State Park in Simsbury on Thursday afternoon, officials from the state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection said.

The discovery was reported at about 3 p.m., DEEP officials said.

The DEEP and its EnCon Police force are investigating the incident, DEEP spokesman Dennis Schain said. The case is being considered an untimely death and does not appear to be suspicious, Schain said.

He said on Thursday afternoon it was too early to know any more details.
