Utility Begins Tree Trimming Project in Simsbury

Residents can object to the tree-trimming project

Utility Begins Tree Trimming Project in Simsbury

At a recent Board of Selectmen meeting, First Selectman Mary A. Glassman reminded everyone that notification has been received by the Town that Connecticut Light and Power will be tree trimming in Simsbury, according to meeting minutes.

The utilities will be conducting routine tree trimming around power lines during the spring and summer months. This is designed to be sure that there is sufficient distance between the limbs and the electrical wires, according to meeting miniutes. Residents will receive a letter form from CL&P if they are working in your area, which will describe the proposed tree trimming, at least 15 days prior to the trimming.

Residents may elect to limit the tree trimming or object to the tree trimming if you feel it is not appropriate. For more information, residents may contact the Public Works Department.
