Victims Identified in Double Fatal Car Crash and Vehicle Fire on I-84 in Southbury: UPDATE
State Police say the highway, which was closed near the accident scene, is now open.

SOUTHBURY, CT — Two people died in a fiery crash on Interstate 84 westbound near Exit 14 Friday morning, according to media reports including Fox 61.
The highway was shut down for a period of time and the exit ramp was closed for four hours reopening around 1:45 p.m., according to Connecticut State Police.
It was a single vehicle crash and the car caught fire, according to Connecticut State Police.

The victims are Warren Rynkar, 69 and John Rynkar, 26, both of Malden, Mass., according to NBC Connecticut. Warren Rynkar died on the scene and John Rynkar would die as a result of his injuries at Waterbury Hospital.
Their vehicle crashed into a tree, according to NBC Connecticut.
