Man's Body Found In Southington: Police
Southington police said Wednesday the body was found near the dog park and a trail Monday morning.

SOUTHINGTON, CT — Local police are investigating the discovery of a body near the town's dog park earlier this week, indicating no foul play is suspected.
The Southington Police Department's detective unit Wednesday confirmed that a 65-year-old man, identified as Alan Legat, was found dead in the area of 125 Mill St. on Monday, Dec. 4.
Police said officers were called to that address at about 6:50 a.m. that day for a report of a person lying on the ground near the town's dog park and Rails to Trails area.

Legat's next of kin have been notified and Connecticut State Medical Examiner's Office is involved and investigating.
"The results of an autopsy are currently pending further studies," wrote the SPD in a statement released Wednesday.

"This case is currently still under investigation, however, no indications of foul play are suspected at this time."
