Southington Police Arrest Three in Undercover Prostitution Sting

Police went undercover to bust three women for alleged prostitution.

Southington police arrested three people after an undercover prostitution operation Friday, according to police.

Police starting preparing the operation after receiving complaints of alleged prostitution activity at several Southington motels, according to a department release.

An undercover officer posed as a potential custom and contacted several alleged prostitutes that had listings on backpage.com, a website known for prostitution listings.

The undercover officer made arrangements to meet at local motels and spoke about exchanging money for sexual activities.

Police arrested Brandy Mione, 24, of Waterbury and charged her with prostitution. Lori Jo Gineo, 29, of Hartford was arrested and charged with prostitution and interfering with an officer. Darlene Martino, 51, of Wolcott was arrested and charged with prostitution and possession of drug paraphernalia.
