Southington Police Blotter: Feb. 11 - 18

Southington Police Blotter: Feb. 11 - 18

Officers found themselves busy to end the week and over the holiday weekend, making arrests in DUI cases, larceny cases, accidents, domestics and more. The department was also busy on roads, issuing a total of 17 different citations. Take a look back at the latest arrest logs.

The Southington Police Department reported the following arrests:

Feb. 11

Lisa Zubrowski, 30, of 78 Laning St. in Southington, was charged with sixth-degree larceny, Feb. 11.

Feb. 14

Caron Querker, 33, of 156 East St. in Wolcott, was charged with driving under the influence, Feb. 14.

Charles Dix, 59, of 80 Homesdale Ave. in Southington, was charged with disorderly conduct, Feb. 14.

Feb. 15

Robert Drouin Jr., 21, of 110 Rethal St. in Southington, was charged with failure to obey a stop sign and evading responsibility in an accident, Feb. 15.

Gregory Hyland, 56, of 15 Watch Hill Road in Cheshire, was charged with driving under the influence and failure to drive to the right, Feb. 15.

Feb. 16

Stephen A. Uryga, 55, of 42 Victoria Drive in Southington, was charged with disorderly conduct, Feb. 16.

Stanley J. Uryga, 55, of 42 Victoria Drive in Southington, was charged with disorderly conduct, Feb. 16.

Shane M. Driscoll, 35, of 119 Westbrook Road in Plantsville, was charged with third-degree assault and disorderly conduct, Feb. 16.

Christian Bedard, 37, of 43 Hunting Hill Drive in Southington, was charged with second-degree breach of peace, interfering with an officer, sixth-degree larceny and third-degree burglary, Feb. 16.

Feb. 18

Matthew G. Smart, 32, of 6 Kane St. in Southington, was charged with violation of probation, Feb. 18.

Other stats from reported traffic stops and incidents:

  • Six people were cited with failure to obey stop sign/traffic signal.
  • Four people were cited with operating an unregistered motor vehicle.
  • Two people were cited with operating a motor vehicle under suspension.
  • Two people were cited with unsafe backing/following too close.
  • One person was cited with failure to carry an insurance card.
  • One person was cited with failure to insure motor vehicle.
  • One person was cited with using a cell phone while driving.
  • One person was cited with speeding/traveling too fast for conditions.
  • One person was cited with failure to carry driver’s license.
  • One person was cited with passing a standing school bus.
  • One person was cited with using a mutilated license plate (no longer legible).
  • One person was cited with driving a car with tinted windows without a DMV sticker.
