Southington Police Charge Manchester Man For Altered Check Incident
The check came from an auto shop, police said.

SOUTHINGTON, CT - A Manchester man has been labeled a bad guy for allegedly creating a bad check, police said.
On Tuesday at 7 a.m., Jenier Huertas, 24 of Manchester, surerendered at the Southington Police Department after learning of an active warrant for his arrest, police said.
The warrant stems from an incident on Feb. 11, when Huertas allegedly cashed a forged check in the amount of $1,200, police said.

The check was originally issued by Chuck and Eddie’s Auto in Southington and was then allegedly altered to be made out to Huertas and cashed by Huertas at a bank in East Hartford, police said.
Huertas was charged with larceny in the fourth degree, second-degree breach of peace and forgery in the third degree, police said.
