Police arrested an allegedly intoxicated Stamford man early Thursday morning when he returned to his home, cranked up the radio and began stabbing the walls, police said Thursday afternoon.
According to authorities, a woman called 911 at approximately 3:30 a.m. claiming her husband, identified by police as Braulio H. Navarro-Rivas, 41, of Victory St., was drunk and acting irrationally.
She told police her husband had come home drunk and starting blasting music, they said. When she asked him to urn it down because the children were sleeping, he began "acting irrationally," police said.
Authorities said the woman locked herself and the children in a bedroom when Navarro-Rivas armed himself with a "fixed-blade kitchen knife" and began slashing and stabbing walls and doors in the home.
Police said Navarro-Rivas was not armed upon their arrival, but a kitchen knife was collected as evidence.
Navarro-Rivas faces charges of second-degree threatening, carrying a dangerous weapon, disorderly conduct and two counts risk of injury to a child.He was held on $5,000 and scheduled to appear in court Thursday.
Michael Alvarez, 30, of Third Ave. in Brooklyn, NY, charged Wednesday afternoon with violation of probation.
Hawley Barnes Jenkins, 48, of Northwood Ln., charged early Thursday with violation of a protective order.
Vivian Martinez, 35, of 88th St., Brooklyn, NY, charged Thursday morning with third-degree criminal mischief.
Karen Ortega, 18, of West Ave., charged Wednesday night with third-degree assault.
Claudia Rivera, 38, of West Ave., charged Wednesday night with third-degree assault.
Darnell Roland, 29, of Pavia St., charged Wednesday night with disorderly conduct.
