Greenwich Fashionistas: Saks Fifth Avenue OFF 5th To Open Store Just Across the Border
Bargain-hunting fashionistas will have a new option in the area.

Saks Fifth Avenue is planning a return to Stamford, a move designed for bargain-hunting fashion-loving shoppers.
In an announcement this week, plans were unveiled for the opening of a Saks Fifth Avenue OFF 5TH store at Stamford Town Center. The store is expected to open in June. The 56,259 square foot store will align with the new Saks Fifth Avenue OFF 5TH aesthetic, featuring an open and modern modular layout in an easy to shop format. The store will be the second Saks Fifth Avenue OFF 5TH in Connecticut.
“We believe Stamford is the perfect location for Saks Fifth Avenue OFF 5TH. Located within the Greater New York metropolitan area, this new store extends our presence to serve residents all over Fairfield and Westchester county,” Jonathan Greller, President of Outlets for Saks parent company Hudson’s Bay Co.. “We are very excited to grow the Saks Fifth Avenue OFF 5TH brand and bring Stamford residents and visitors our fantastic selection of true fashion at real value.”

The Saks Fifth Avenue OFF 5TH will carry nearly 1,000 designer labels for men, women, and children, including Free People, Judith Ripka, Adriana Orsini, John Hardy, French Connection, Penguin, Vince and Stuart Weitzman.
When the Town Center opened in the early 1980s, Saks Fifth Avenue was one of the anchor stores. The store was closed in 2013. The nearest Saks store is at 205 Greenwich Ave. in downtown Greenwich.

“Our shoppers will welcome the return of the Saks Fifth Avenue OFF 5TH brand to Stamford Town Center,” said Stephen Kieras, Senior Vice President of Development for Taubman’s, which owns and manages the Town Center Mall. “OFF 5TH will further broaden the array of excellent merchandise offerings at the center.”
