Linda Boccuzzi DePreta, 71; Lifelong Stamford Resident Who Worked as Hairdresser for 53 Years
Calling hours will be held Sunday, March 15 with the funeral scheduled for Monday, March 16.

Linda Boccuzzi DePreta, a lifelong Stamford resident passed away on Monday, March 9, 2015 at home surrounded by her loving family.
Born on September 3, 1943, she was the third child born to the late Gerardo Boccuzzi and Grace (Lionetti) Boccuzzi. Linda was predeceased by her sister Maryann Cornelio.

Linda was a hairdresser for 53 years, having worked at Chateau Coiffure in Greenwich and J Pierre Salon in Stamford.
She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Vincent J. DePreta; her son, Dean and his wife Nicoletta of Stamford; a brother Theodore of Port Saint Lucie, Florida; and a sister Yolanda Sapia of Norwalk. She also leaves behind her adoring grandchildren Joseph DePreta, Dean DePreta and Michaela DePreta.

She was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. An avid golfer and tennis player. Linda’s special idyll was her precious time at the beach with friends and family. She was universally loved for her unwaveringly positive outlook on life. An eternal optimist, she gave to others freely and always put the needs of others before herself. Linda was a constant presence at her grandchildren’s football, baseball, lacrosse games and dance recitals which brought her unending joy. Linda was deeply loved and will be dearly missed by all.
Calling hours will be held at the Lacerenza Funeral Home, 8 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford on Sunday, March 15, 2015 from 2:00 - 6:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, March 16, 2015 at 10:30 AM at Sacred Heart Church, 37 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford. Interment will take place in private.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Bennett Cancer Center, 30 Shelburne Road, Stamford, CT 06902.
