Man Killed In Single-Car Crash In Stamford: Police
Police said they are investigating several factors that may have contributed to the crash.
STAMFORD, CT — A 45-year-old Stamford man was killed in a single-car crash in Stamford Monday night, according to police.
The identity of the man is being withheld pending notification of family members.
Police said the crash occurred at approximately 8:52 p.m., Monday when a 2004 Porsche Cayenne was traveling eastbound on Jefferson Street approaching the intersection with Magee Avenue.

The Porsche continued through the intersection but "did not negotiate" the left curve in the roadway, and the car struck a traffic light pole, police noted.
The man, who was the sole occupant of the car, suffered critical injuries, and he was taken to Stamford Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Police said they are investigating several factors, including whether or not the man may have suffered a medical episode before the crash.
