Talk about PTSD and Healing from Trauma

SUSAN MARCUS, a founding member and volunteer for the Fairfield County Trauma Recovery Network, will give a presentation on trauma and PTSD.

Often misunderstood, PTSD can be challenging to treat and devastating to live with. Susan Marcus will discuss diagnosis and treatment approaches for those suffering the effects of trauma, as well as strategies and resources for their loved ones.

She will speak about identifying, understanding, coping with, and treating PTSD and other responses to trauma. The event will take place at 7:30 pm on Thursday, September 11, 2014, in Conference room B at the Tully Health Center, 32 Strawberry Hill Court, Stamford, Conn. Ms. Marcus specializes in treating trauma of all kinds, as well as anxiety, depression, and grief. Skilled in utilizing a range of treatment modalities, Susan is a certified EMDR Therapist, Consultant, and Training Facilitator. She is currently training in Somatic Experiencing, and has completed post-graduate study in Hypnotherapy, Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy, Integrative Nutrition, and Reiki. A licensed psychotherapist with a Masters Degree in Social Work from Columbia University, Susan formerly managed an Outpatient Mental Health Clinic for Family Services of Westchester. Today she continues to see clients in her private practice in Greenwich, Connecticut.
