Richard M. Anderson, 64, of Stamford, passed away December 20, 2014.

Richard was born on September 11, 1950 in Stamford, CT, a son of the late Milton and Anna (Betty) Anderson.

Richard is a graduate of Stamford Catholic High School. He attended St. John’s University and graduated with a degree in pharmacy. Early in his career he was a pharmacist in Greenwich, CT, and is the former owner of the Medicine Shoppe in Stamford.

He is survived by his wife Kristina, a daughter Sara and her husband Scott Chiappetta; sisters Barbara Rosta and Peggy (Barry) Lueders; brothers Mark (Sharon), Timothy (Jane), and Michael; sister-in-law Pam Anderson and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by a brother Terrence Anderson.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the State Street Debating Society’s Scholarship Fund c/o Craig Johnson, 30 Glen Rd., Ridgefield, CT 06877. Visitation will be held Friday, December 26 from 3-7 at Shippan’s Thomas Gallagher Funeral Home 453 Shippan Ave. Mass will be 10 am Saturday, December 27 at St. Gabriel Roman Catholic Church 914 Newfield Ave.
