Stamford Woman Charged with Using Car as Weapon

A Fairfield Ave. woman was arrested and charged Sunday after police allege she deliberately smashed her vehicle into the vehicle of another woman.

Police dispatched to a call in the 400 block of Hope St. for a woman pouring gasoline on a vehicle early Sunday morning found Latoya Williams, 28, at Rock Spring Road and Hope Street with a damaged vehicle, they said Monday.

Police say Williams stumbled upon what they believe to be her boyfriend in the car with another woman on Hope St. and became angry.

Williams proceeded to dump what turned out to be antifreeze onto the victims Nissan before deliberately slamming her vehicle into the vehicle of the other woman and driving away, authorities said.

Upon arriving at the originating scene, police found the victim shaken up and still trapped inside her vehicle as the door had been too damaged to open, they said.

Wiliams faces reckless endangerment, criminal mischief, attempted assault and evading charges.
