Stamford police said a group with a pair of transgendered men dressed as women allegedly attacked a group of victims they accused of stealing a phone from one of the suspects, police announced Thursday.

According to authorities, all of the parties involved were at the Elite night club on Atlantic St. when one of the suspects lost a cellphone and began blaming various parties inside the club, Capt. Tom Wuennemann said.

The group of victims left and the suspects, identified as Casey Medley, 21, of Stamford, and Ronald Brown, 23, and Christopher Schenck, 23, both of Baltimore, followed them.

When they caught up with the victims at approximately 12:24 a.m., the suspects allegedly sprayed the victims in the face with pepper spray then capitalized on the opportunity to allegedly steal one of the victim's phones, Wuennemann said.

Police went on a search for the suspects, with one described as a 6-foot, 7-inch black male with blonde hair and another described as a black male in a wig and fishnet stockings. Shortly thereafter, authorities stopped a group fitting that description on Smith St., Wuennemann said.

One of the suspects was allegedly found to be in possession of the victim's phone, according to police.

Medley, Brown and Schenck were all taken into custody and face the same charges of second-degree robbery, conspiracy to commit second-degree robbery, third-degree assault and conspiracy to commit third-degree assault.
