Women of Vision Fairfield County Luncheon To Benefit Stamford Women, Families

The 'Strong Women, Strong World' luncheon will be held in Greenwich.

From Women of Vision Fairfield County.

On Monday, March 2, 2015, Women of Vision Fairfield County will host their annual fundraiser luncheon, “Strong Women, Strong World,” at the Hyatt Regency Greenwich.

Congresswoman Karla Schaefer, Republic of Peru, will be this year’s keynote speaker. As a human rights activist and congresswoman, Karla has been a voice for oppressed and trafficked women and children in Peru and throughout Latin America. Congresswoman Schaefer has ties to our local community as she is a cousin to Jeannette Gugelmann, of Greenwich, who has herself been a tireless volunteer and advocate working on behalf of vulnerable children here in the US and in her native country of Peru.

In addition to a Giving Tree highlighting World Vision projects, a select silent auction will feature many items for the discerning woman, including travel, shopping, dining and jewelry from merchants in and around Greenwich. Funds raised at the luncheon will benefit World Vision projects which serve impoverished women, children and their families in Stamford, CT, The Bronx, NY and in some of the most difficult places to be a woman today, such as Rwanda, Sierra Leone, Cambodia and the Dominican Republic.

Tickets to the event start at $150. For more information regarding sponsorship opportunities or to obtain tickets, please contact Nina Gustin at 203-661-9787.
