Boat Fire Extinguished At Stratford Home
The 26-foot boat was on a trailer in the driveway when it caught fire, according to officials.

STRATFORD, CT — A boat caught fire while it was on a trailer at a Dawn Drive home in Stratford with the blaze extending to the garage, according to fire officials. Stratford firefighters extinguished the fire within 15 minute and no injuries were reported.
Engine Company 4 arrived at 150 Dawn Drive to find a 26-foot Chaparral SSX ski boat in the driveway on a trailer heavily involved with fire and extending to the garage of the house, according to Deputy Chief, Fire Marshal Brian Lampart.
“Fire Crews, Engine 4, Engine 2, Engine 1, Engine 3 Tack 5 and Truck 2 under the command of Assistant Chief Brennan were able to extinguish the blasé on the boat within 15 minutes and limit the homes damage to simple melting of the vinyl siding,” Lampart said in a press release. “Assistance was gained from Shelton Fire Department due to the limited water supply in the area.”
