Car Fire Extinguished On Christmas Eve In Stratford

STRATFORD, CT — Firefighters extinguished a car fire on Success Avenue in Stratford on Christmas Eve. The firefighters union shared a video on Facebook of crews knocking down the fire. In the video, you can see water reactive metals lighting off as the hose stream is applied.

“It’s a reminder even routine emergencies like a vehicle fire can still pose dangers to firefighters,” the Stratford Professional Firefighters IAFF 998 wrote in the post on Facebook.
