Deborah Louise Walsh (Lacourciere), age 64, of Stratford, entered into eternal rest suddenly on Thursday, Jan. 31, 2013.
Born on Oct. 31, 1948 in Patterson, New Jersey, she was the only daughter of the late Eugene and Doris Walsh.
Debbie was among the first graduating class of Saint Joseph High School in Trumbull. She later graduated from Saint Vincent's School of Nursing LPN program and worked as a nurse at Saint Vincent's Hospital, Cambridge Manor, and Lord Chamberlain.
Debbie's greatest joy was taking care of others, especially her four grandchildren. Debbie had a lifelong love of swimming and was a junior lifeguard in Fairfield during her teen years.
She also had a fond affection for dogs and cats. Debbie had a big heart and was always there to help any family member or friend in need.
Debbie is survived by two brothers, Gene Walsh and his wife Joyce of Oxford, and Bob Walsh and his wife Joy of Norfolk, Virginia, two sons, Jason Lacourciere and Jody of Stratford and Jean-Marc Lacourciere of Bridgeport, as well as her beloved grandchildren, who called her Mae-Mae, Emma, Henry, Brooke and Chase Lacourciere. Debbie is also survived by one niece and several nephews.
Friends may greet her family on Thursday, Feb. 7, from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place, Stratford. All other services and interment will be private.
