Stratford First Responders Help Save 64-Year-Old Woman
According to the Stratford EMS Facebook page, first responders helped save the life of a 64-year-old woman on Wednesday after bystanders called 911 reporting that the woman had fallen and suffered an apparent heart attack.

Nice job to Stratford Public Safety Dispatch, the First Responders of Stratford Fire - Engine 1 & EMS Crews 800/803/804/807 (EMT Ray Wauthier, Dom Juliano Steve Kennedy, Paramedic Dane Johansson, Paramedic/Operations Supervisor Erin Smith and Paramedic/Acting EMS Administrator Kevin Giasullo). Bystanders reported a 64 year old woman who had fallen. 911 was activated and Stratford Public Safety Dispatch sent First Responders and Stratford EMS. FD and EMS arrived and witnessed cardiac arrest. SEMS Lucas II mechanical CPR device was used in conjunction with basic and advanced life support. Upon arrival at ED, return of spontaneous circulation (ROSC) had been achieved. Patient had a good pulse and blood pressure. Nice job to the entire pre-hospital team! While the patient is not out of the woods yet, this was a great example of Stratford Public Safety teamwork together achieving positive results!
