STRATFORD, CT — A vehicle fire Wednesday morning closed a section of Route 15 in Stratford, according to a fire official. The incident occurred at 10:42 a.m. on the southbound side of the roadway near Exit 53, where a utility pickup truck was ablaze, Stratford Fire Department Assistant Chief Tim Brennan said. No one was injured in the fire, according to Brennan. Southbound Route 15 was closed due to the blaze, Brennan said, but the road reopened later in the morning. Marshals are investigating the cause of the fire.
