Jones Family Farms - Pumpkinseed Hill, 120 Beardsley Rd., Shelton. The farm offers daily pumpkin picking and hayrides (weather permitting) with more than 50 varieties of pumpkins, squash and gourds. 203-929-8425. http://www.jonesfamilyfarms.com/

Plasko’s Farm, 670 Daniels Farm Rd., Trumbull. This market has already-picked pumpkins for sale and boasts a corn maze and “one of the largest” displays of pumpkins, gourds and Indian corn in the area. 203-268-2716. Open daily from 9 a.m.-6 p.m http://plaskosfarm.com

Castle Hill Farm, 25 Sugar Ln., Newtown. This farm offers a corn maze, a patch to pick your own pumpkins and on the weekends, hay rides and pony rides. St. John’s Lutheran Church, 884 Newfield Ave., Stamford. The church grounds are transformed annual into a pumpkin patch, open from Oct. 13 to 31.
