The Town Council on Tuesday will consider moving funds totaling about $17,000 from two existing accounts to help pay for new dugouts at the Tolland High School baseball and softball fields.
The plan has been presented by Superintendent of Schools William Guzman.
The council is slated to meet at 7:30 at thew Hicks Municipal Center.
All four dugouts were damaged by Hurricane/Tropical Storm Sandy in October, 2012, Guzman said in a Jan. 8 memo to school board members. Insurance payouts will not cover the entire replacement, Guzman indicated in the memo.
The plan is to move $12,529 from the Tolland Middle School paving project and $5,000 from the TMS track resurfacing project and move them to a account for the dugouts.
They are documented school bored capital accounts, town officials said.
