Body Found in Halls Pond in Willington
State police were summoned to the popular destination on Tuesday when the body was discovered.

WILLINGTON, CT — State police from the Troop C barracks in Tolland are investigating an untimely
death at Hall’s Pond on River Road in Willington.
On Tuesday at approximately 10:35 a.m. troopers responded to Hall’s Pond for a reported body in the water. Upon arrival troopers located the body, and with the assistance of the firefighters the body was recovered and subsequently pronounced deceased, state police said.

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will conduct a post-mortem examination to
determine cause and manner of death and confirm positive identity.
The name is withheld pending positive identity and next of kin notification, state police said.

There is no criminal aspect to the discovery, state police said.
Halls Pond is a popular outdoor destination in north central Connecticut.
