Body Found at Shenipsit Lake

TOLLAND, CT — Troopers from the state police Troop C barracks and detectives from Eastern District Major Crime Squad on Wednesday were investigating the discovery of a body located near the shore of Shenipsit Lake.

State police announced the discovery at 8:50 p.m.

State police said the investigation is ongoing and had no other information on the deceased.

The lake is a major reservoir for the Connecticut Water Co. located on parts of Tolland, Vernon and Ellington.
