Car Crashes Into Trees In Tolland

A vehicle crashed into some trees in Tolland over the weekend.

TOLLAND, CT — A compact car wound up playing vehicular pinball in a copse of trees in Tolland over the weekend, state police and fire officials said.

A state police report indicates the crash took place at 6:32 p.m. Fire officials said it was near 199 Crystal Lake Road. According to a state police report, a 1998 Honda Civid driven by a 17-year-old Vernon resident veered off the road, bound off several trees and skidded back onto the road.

The teen suffered minor injuries and was transported to Connecticut Children's Medical Center, according to state police.

Fire officials said they had to close Crystal Lake Road between Hurlbut Road and Eaton Road for a short period.
