Neighbor, Firefighters Respond to Tractor Fire in Tolland

TOLLAND, CT – Quick work on the part of firefighters and a neighbor saved a garage on Buff Cap Road after a tractor caught on fire Saturday, authorities said.

The incident took place at about 1 p.m.

Buff Cap Road was down to one lane of traffic as firefighters responded. A neighbor had pushed the tractor out of a garage to make is easier on the firefighters, officials said.

The move likely saved not only the garage, but some sheds on the property, fire officials said.
