Trumbull Robbery Foiled, Security Guard Assaulted: PD
The guard escaped with some minor injuries.

TRUMBULL, CT — A private security guard was assaulted during an attempted robbery on Oakview Drive March 9, police said.
The guard was on duty and parked in the area of 100 Oakview Dr. around 7 p.m. when he exited his vehicle and was approached by a suspect from a Toyota.
The suspect asked the guard for a light and when the guard looked away the suspect struck him in the face and demanded his possessions, police said.

A scuffle ensued and the suspect broke free and fled the seen in his vehicle toward Old Town Road.
The guard had some minor injuries. Police described the suspect as a black man about 5'8'' weighing 150 pounds with short facial hair. He was wearing a dark hoodie at the time.
