We’ve Picked the Book!  TLS’s 2013 One Book - One Town title is Steve Jobs, Walter Isaacson’s Best-Selling Biography of the Computer Visionary.  Apple Computer founder, pioneer, perfectionist, and genius in the field of business, innovation, and product design, Jobs profoundly changed the face of the modern world and revolutionized at least six different industries. Books are available in the library. Our 2013 community-read will be accompanied by more than 20 programs in March!   


Choose Accounting Software:  Why Use and What to Think About.  Thurs. Jan. 24, 6:30 – 7:30-pm. Part 1 of two part Accounting Series presented by Caren Schwartz of Time & Cents Consultants.  Good for small businesses, whether cash, accrual, or double entry!  Part 2 on Tues. Feb. 12, 6:30pm. Very, Very, Very Basic Internet Searching.  Fri. Jan. 25, 10 – 11:30am.  This lecture-demonstration offers a starting from scratch introduction to searching the Internet.  Details at the library – space available!  Register.  Free. 


How to Fund College Without Going Broke.  Sat. Jan 26, 11am – 12:15pm. Trumbull resident Mike Dailey's excellent class covering the best way to manage the expense.  See where you are and how you can get there!  Program includes a family financial run. Register. Free. 


Teen Advisory Group Meeting - TAG!!!  Sat. Jan. 26, 3 – 4pm.  Teen Advisory Group organizational meeting. We will get ready for 2013 volunteer opportunities here in the Trumbull library and discuss future meeting schedules. Refreshments provided.  Sign up or drop in! 


Spring Concert: Festa Portugal!!! Sun. Jan. 27, 2 – 4pm.  Enjoy Portuguese costumes, folklore, and culture in an afternoon of uniquely choreographed dances from the Minho region, with a Festa Portugal (Portuguese festival) from Recordacoes de Portugal, a local Bridgeport folk dance group!  Drop in, and tap your feet, snap your fingers, or dance!

Storytime Registration has begun Starts 1/14/13!  Sign up; storytimes themselves start the first week of February.

Fairchild Nichols Branch


Storytime for 4 year olds at the Fairchild-Nichols Memorial Library.  Tues. Jan. 29, 10:15 - 10:45am.  Join us every Tuesday @ 10:15 for toe tapping music, mesmerizing stories, and a craft that will blow your socks off!   Caregivers are asked to remain in the Children's Services area. Trumbull residents. 


Fairchild's Baby Cafe: Ages 6 mos. to 2 Years.  Thurs. Jan. 31, 10:15 - 10:45am.  Introduce your little one to books, music, rhymes and finger play to bond, have fun and increase early literacy skills! Child or caregiver Trumbull resident.  Drop in.


Storytime for 2's & 3's at Fairchild Nichols Branch.  Thurs. Jan. 31, 11 - 11:30am.  Come join us for storytime!  We will have a little bit of music, a little bit of dancing, a lot a bit of stories and a show stopping craft.  Child or caregiver Trumbull residents. Registration will begin on January 7th.  Classes begin on January 31st.
