Body Found Behind Vernon Plaza
A body was discovered behind a shopping plaza in the Rockville section of Vernon on Thursday.

VERNON, CT — A body was discovered behind a shopping plaza in the Rockville section of Vernon on Thursday, police said.
Vernon police said they received a call about an unresponsive person behind Courthouse Plaza, 20 East Main St., at about 10:30 a.m. on Thursday. Officers located an "adult male" in a wooded area and he was pronounced dead at the scene, a police spokesman said.
The spokesman said police believe the man frequents Vernon but might be homeless.

Police did not believe any foul play was involved and are working with the Office of The Chief Medical Examiner to determine what happened to the man.
